Man Crafts Wooden Volkswagen Beetle (PHOTOS)

He calls it a “labor of love.” We call it awesome.

Momir Bojic, 71, outfitted a custom Volkswagen Beetle with incredible wooden details. The fully functioning automobile is made from 50,000 separate pieces of hand-carved oak and took the Bosnian retiree two years to build. Almost all of the car’s external features, including its hubcaps, are made from specially treated wood.

We’re guessing that the electrical and combustion components are built from more appropriate materials.
