Jack Daniels and his wife knew on their first date what they would call their first child if they had a son.
Carrying on a spirited tradition, Jack Daniels Leathers, 31, and his wife Lydia, 23, said they wanted to continue their whiskey-themed family fun.
When he was born on November 21, they called their firstborn Jim Beam Leathers.
Dad Jack, of Gray, Louisiana, told Houma Today: “My parents decided they wanted to name their son something to make their parents mad. And, at the time, my dad was drinking Jack, which he enjoyed. My mom said, ‘Why not?’

“On our first date, we were talking about baby names. We thought Jim Beam would be a good idea.”
Fittingly, when they got married, none other than Judge Johnny Walker officiated the ceremony.
Lydia said: “I’ve always tried to do stuff out of the ordinary, to do things differently than other people. It’s hard to find a name that you like that nobody you know has. It was all Jack’s idea. I just went along with it.”
Jack added that a girl born into the family wouldn’t be left out of the booze-themed bonhomie – by being called Sherry.
No points for guessing what would be used to wet the baby’s head!
